Windows 7 Burger Unlocked & Hacked

Many of you have seen the Burger King Windows 7 Burger by now. While an interesting idea it has a few substantial problems:

  • It is region locked and only available in Japan
  • It has an Enterprise price point of $17 (¥1,450)
  • Has limited functionality (no cheese)
With my step-by-step guide I will show you how to:

  • Get it fully functional at the Student Edition price of $4.24 (¥391)
  • Run it on your native system, no hardware upgrades needed
  • Unlock the region restrictions and purchase it in the US
    Upgrades:

  • Cheese – You will get 7 slices of American cheese free of charge (an enhancement from the Japanese edition)
  • Sauce (BBQ, Sweet & Sour, Ranch or Honey Mustard) – This is an added bonus as Burger King allows one sauce per sandwich allowing you up to 4 sauces with you Windows 7 Cheeseburger
  • Pickles, Tomatoes, Lettuce & Onions – Possible extra charge depending on vendor

Step 1: Purchase 4 of Burger King’s Double Cheeseburgers at the new price of $1.00 each.

006

Step 2: Open all 4 burgers. Designate a foundation burger and remove the top bun. Designate 2 “middle burgers” and remove both buns.
008

Step 3: Now this is the most difficult part of the whole hack. From the remaining burger you must discard not only the bottom bun but also the extra patty. Although this may seem unnecessary, omitting this crucial step will not produce a validated version of a Windows 7 Burger and may not be compatible with your system (this could result in possible system crashes as the amount of calories, sodium and fat could overheat your machine).

Step 4: Assemble all 4 parts beginning with the foundation, placing the four middle patties next and completing the install by placing the final patty and top bun on.
009

Step 5: You should now have a fully functional Burger King Windows 7 Cheeseburger. Reboot system and consume.

Happy food hacking!

  1. I love you.

  2. The double cheeseburger uses two 1/8 lb. patties. The Win7 Whopper uses 1/4 lb. patties. Although I guess you could say this is the Windows 7 Starter burger.

BK will make you a Whopper with however many patties you want. The double and triple are on the menu, but just ask and they’ll scale up the price to match.

    • yes but it will be probably at 17dlls, this is supposed to be hacked-not as expensive version.

  3. @obo – To clarify, this is the Windows 7 Cheeseburger Student Edition and may not have all of the features of the Windows 7 Japanese Enterprise Edition.

  4. That’s true, ETR, it has much less cholesterol. Uh, I mean cruft.

    • So less bloatware then?

      • …and waaaay less crapware.

It should go through your system like something that goes through a goose really fast.

  5. Bravo!

  6. I’m glad you broke a 50 for this badboy hack.

I prefer freeware, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

  7. You could always add back in that extra patty and have the world’s first Windows 8 Alpha Burger… though you’ll want to add in a disclaimer advising the consumer of the resulting system crashes and memory dumps.

  8. if you got the Windows 8 alpha version you must eat it in 128 bites.

  9. I would love to try it, but my system cannot handle the digestion load when extra cheese is enabled, so I have to run the Windows 7 Burger starter edition.

  10. That was an amazing informative and hilarious article, thank you! hahah

  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJt4MvsHKhQ

    You’ve been one upped.

  12. Your entry reminded me alot about this entry: http://tinyurl.com/yjn47zg

  13. I would prefer to wait till the SP1 comes out for this burger-it may help fix leaks (from side of mouth)

  14. This is a little known hack I discovered: For better performance, use these instructions at Wendy’s.

  15. Great post, the title had me worried for a second.

  16. Great post. For me though, instead of ordering four double cheese burgers, I would’ve ordered three double cheeseburgers and a whopper junior. This eliminates the need for was of the final patty, and also allows for included extras of lettuce, tomato, etc. –I imagine it’d be a slightly easier hack, too.

  17. That platform looks unstable. As Truther suggested, the Wendy’s drivers may perform better.

  18. burger king to hack ?

  19. wow funny hack.

  20. :) :) :) cheesy meat hack

  21. yak! fast food…. looks scary…

  22. SCAM!!!SCAM!!!
As OBO pointed out this is actually a “starter” version with only half of the memory (2 lbs instead of 4lbs).
You people are trying to rip off The King of Burgers and also the Japan motherland.
Please do not pirate your burgers.
Pony up $1,000.00 and fly to Japan.

Or you can just do what I did and download the torrent: piratesbay.win7burger.torrent

  23. I think this made for Japaneese

  24. Great hack!

  25. My heart nearly blue-screened looking at that.

This is genius, though. Thanks for the laugh!

  26. Wow!

that would be worse than shhhittting a Chicken.

definately a two flusher and keep the plunger nearby just in case……

and preparation H is useful for any anal fissures that could result. ymmv

  27. LOL. And I wondered what I was reading for the first half of the article and realized I’ve come across plain GENIUS.

    Thanks for the post.

  28. I hate Windows, but I liked this post about it XD

    • so you may think linux would be more like a Salad?

  29. :) ))))

  30. Calories blah blah … dude

  31. wellcome http://net24h.wordpress.com/

  32. You won’t get the genuine advantage from this hacked version. It doesn’t come with kobe beef.

  33. I think the 7 is one of the best version that MS did. Really.

  34. That burger looks disgusting
